For a written public-records request, use the official NextRequest Public Records Center or email PIARequest@Polktx.gov. The county also accepts requests through the public-records drop box at 101 W. Mill Street, Livingston, TX 77351, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays and court-designated days, or by mail to Attn. Pam Knighton, Public Records Officer, 101 W. Mill Street, Suite 247, Livingston, TX 77351. Name PCSO and identify the booking record and photograph separately. Include the person's full name, approximate booking date, arresting agency, and booking number if known. Ask the custodian for a cost estimate and any applicable withholding exception. Polk County does not publish a mugshot-specific fee or guaranteed response time.
The source depends on the question. These routes help keep county jail, state prison, and federal custody records distinct.
- For current confinement, admissions, releases, name, charge, or arresting-agency views, start with the official PCSO Citizen Connect confinement search; the home guide explains the full county search and request path.
- For a wanted or criminal-papers question, use the sheriff-linked tools described on Most Wanted; do not treat a listing as proof of guilt.
- For recent bookings and date-bounded arrest information, use the PCSO search suite and the home page's booking-feed guidance, not a separate arrest-log page.
- For a custody change, use the current confinement and release views in Citizen Connect. A person released from the roster may still require a written records request for a booking record.
- For a city-originated police report, contact the relevant Livingston, Onalaska, or Corrigan police department because the originating agency may maintain that report even when the jail maintains intake information.
- For a person committed to a Texas state prison, use the official TDCJ offender search. TDCJ is not the Polk County Jail booking system and says public inmate photographs are not provided.
- For federal or immigration detention, use the official Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator, not the Polk County jail roster.
